Heart-on-sleeve troubadours Jonathan Richman and Vic Chesnutt have announced they're joining forces for a joint North American tour. Starting in June, the pair will play several co-headlining shows, making several stops in the U.S. and playing Montreal on June 23, Hamilton on June 24 and Toronto on June 25.

For Richman, he will be showing off his latest full-length, Because Her Beauty Is Raw and Wild, and Chesnutt his 2008 effort with Elf Power, Dark Developments. There's no word if the two will be collaborating onstage or perhaps in the studio but seriously, that would be pretty freakin' cool, now wouldn't it?
