Toronto's Jon Vinyl is the latest artist making moves in the local R&B/soul scene. Releasing short projects such as this three-track EP seems to be the move these days. They allow artists to slowly gauge interest, land on a streaming playlist or two, and build up their set list for the inevitable concert date.

Jon Vinyl has a warm and playful vocal approach; backed by HMLT-production, Dangerous reveals an artist set to go places. The title track wisely builds on the artist's vocal tone with a upbeat number, while "N29" frames freewheeling lyrics with a bouncy beat.

"Sundays don't always go my way," Vinyl croons on "Sundays," a chill kick-snare and guitar-driven neo-soul groove. In his own words, this EP aims to "short, sweet and easily digestible while leaving listeners longing for more." Mission accomplished.
