Jon Spencer's Heavy Trash Announce 10th Anniversary Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Sep 22, 2014

Ten years after Jon Spencer and Matt Verta-Ray first delivered damaged doo-wop and early rock'n'roll tunes under the name Heavy Trash, the pair have announced that they're marking the occasion with a batch of anniversary tour dates.

The New York trashmen are kicking off a quick trip early next month, with the tour highlighting material from their 2005 self-titled debut, 2007's Going Way Out with Heavy Trash and 2009's Midnight Soul Serenade, a press release confirms. Additionally, the pair will apparently be premiering new tunes from as as-yet-undetailed fourth full-length release to be delivered at a later date.

It's further explained that the lineup for Heavy Trash has been fleshed out to include Montreal rockabilly revivalist Bloodshot Bill, who will be touring with the group as a member and also as the opening act.

In addition to U.S. dates, the trip hits a number of stops in Quebec and Ontario. You'll find all of the show specifics down below.
