We hope you stowed away a couple of Johnny de Courcy's expertly grainy loaves in your freezers, as he's apparently ditched his day job as a baker. Accounting for a different kind of taste, the songwriter has at least offered up news that he's heading back out on the road for a cross-country Canadian tour.
The Montreal-based pop-rock auteur has announced he'll be on tour throughout the spring, with Victoria outfit Painted Fruit serving as his backup band. This will be the first time in two years that de Courcy will be travelling across the country with a band.
Painted Fruit will be doing double duty throughout the trip, which kicks off at Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre on April 29. Each night will find the group playing their own tunes ahead of a set supporting de Courcy.
The trek stretches from the West Coast, through to the Prairies, and as far out as the Maritimes before bouncing back to BC. You'll find all of the show info down below.
Johnny de Courcy's last release was 2015's The Master Manipulator EP. Painted Fruit will be releasing a split 7-inch with Calgary's Smoke Eaters next month, and they'll also be hocking a tour-only cassette.
