John Mayer has announced the launch of his own SiriusXM channel, Life with John Mayer, arriving on November 22.

Life with John Mayer will live on channel 14 and, according to a press release, is based on a longstanding dream that the singer-songwriter had to curate a station defined by the time of day or day of the week.

The channel will serve as an opportunity for Mayer to create a "musical experience hand-selected by the guitarist and songwriter and an ever-evolving world of music built from the music he loves," according to a press statement.

"It's a highly ambitious project, and SiriusXM is the perfect partner to build this experience with. I look forward to creating and fostering a sense of community through this channel, and shining a light on what music does best — providing the soundtrack to our lives," said Mayer.

Life with John Mayer is another of SiriusXM's growing catalogue of artist-centric channels, including stations dedicated to the Beatles, the Grateful Dead, Pearl Jam and Drake.

To celebrate its inception, Mayer is planning on sharing seven previously unreleased live concerts at 6 p.m. ET every day during the channel's launch week — one of which is a 2019 recording of his elusive Madison Square Garden show where he played his album Continuum in its entirety, and has never been heard outside of the audience in attendance that night.
