Earlier this week John Mayer was rushed to hospital for an emergency appendectomy, and he seems to be recovering rather well.

Yesterday (December 6), in addition to thanking fans for the well wishers and expressing his regret over a few tour dates, the singer posed for a bathroom selfie in his hospital gown and bracelet, cracking: "still got it."

still got it.

But it was in the wee hours of this morning (December 7) that the painkillers really seemed to kick in. Mayer took to Twitter to inform his followers that, "I'm a warm, pilled-out froggy, whizzing my golf cart around the internet, doffing my wool cap to everyone I pass."

He added a few colourful "beeps" as he zoomed towards some supposed electric guitars, much to the delight of many of his followers (except for the fake Twitter account that already exists in honour of Mayer's appendix).
