Published Mar 01, 2012Late Night with Jimmy Fallon is gripped with Bruce Springsteen fever, as the show has been paying tribute to the Boss all week long. Springsteen himself appeared on the show earlier this week, and he'll coming back on Friday night (March 2). To bridge the gap, the Roots and John Legend teamed up last night (February 29) to perform a cover of Bruce's classic "Dancing in the Dark."
The ensemble reinvented the song as a jazzy ballad that's a far cry from the upbeat original. With its tinkling piano, upright bass and soulful vocals, you'd be more likely to hear this while sipping martinis at a mellow jazz lounge than at a noisy rock club.
