"Bruce Beckons" (National Parks Project) (video)

BY Josiah HughesPublished May 17, 2011

As previously reported, 39 Canadian musicians teamed up for the National Parks Project, a collaborative effort documenting their experiences from spending time in Canada's national parks. The songs were accompanied by visuals from Canadian filmmakers, and we're happy to share with you the stunning video for John K. Samson, Christine Fellows and Sandro Perri's "Bruce Beckons."

Recorded at Bruce Peninsula National Park, the sparse track already takes a warm and engaging tone, but combined with Cabot McNenly's skillful videography and Ryan J. Noth's editing, you'll have a hard time not appreciating Canada's parks. You'll also have a hard time staring at your computer screen instead of spending the rest of the day outside.

The video for "Bruce Beckons" can be streamed below.

The National Parks Project album will be released on May 24 via Last Gang Records. A soundtrack release show will take place at the Royal in Toronto on May 19. More info on that performance is available here.
