We recently named John K. Samson's upcoming Provincial our Most Anticipated Canadian Album of 2012, so we're excited to feast our ears on a new track called "Letter in Icelandic from the Ninette San" from the Weakerthans frontman's solo LP.
This one is a lot more down-tempo than the first sample we heard from Provincial, and it scales back the distortion in favour of acoustic plucking and Samson always-poignant vocals. Eventually a shuffling drum beat and sawing violin enter to beef up the bare-bones arrangement. Take a listen below.
