Published Apr 04, 2016In addition to John Carpenter getting ready for the formal release of his new album, Lost Themes II, the iconic film figure is about to head out on his first-ever tour. To tease the shows, he's self-directed a performance of the record's "Distant Dream."
A press release notes that the clip was captured at Los Angeles' Village Recorder studio, and it finds Carpenter and his backup band barrelling into a hard-crashed rock intro. Once Carpenter slides on a pair of prescription glasses, the group gel into an eerie, chromatic scale-scouring section of prog.
You'll find the full performance below.
As previously reported, Carpenter's Lost Themes II hits stores April 15 through Sacred Bones. You can, however, already hear the album in full over here.
