Chicago's Joey Purp released some heat earlier in the month via his "Girls @" tag-team with fellow Windy City spitter Chance the Rapper, but now he's blessed us with the entirety of his iiiDrops mixtape.
The freelease's "Morning Sex" begins with a joyous "whoo" and a massively soulful loop of brass, but the song isn't so much about a.m. snuggle sessions as it is about coming up in a violent city. He also talks about snitches, deadbeat dads, drug deals and burners on "Winners Circle," a track with Vic Mensa.
Elsewhere, "Photobooth" has a Xanny-twisted Purp rhyming about Instagram photo shoots above a twisted sax-screech.
The tape also features guest appearances from Saba, Mick Jenkins and Teddy Jackson, while production was served up by Knox Fortune, Thelonious Martin, Donnie Trumpet and Peter Cottontale.
You can give Purp's new tape a listen down below.
