Joe Perry Collapses During Hollywood Vampires Concert

Guitarist Joe Perry collapsed during a Hollywood Vampires performance in New York last night (July 10), which led to the veteran rock musician being taken to a nearby hospital.

Perry became unwell mid-set during Hollywood Vampires' concert at Coney Island, NY's Ford Amphitheater, with fan footage of the show finding him seated on the drum riser, looking dazed and unable to play his guitar. He walked off to the backstage area, where he apparently lost consciousness and collapsed. EMT workers were on-scene and quickly revived the six-stringer before he was taken to a Brooklyn hospital.

Hollywood Vampires vocalist Alice Cooper addressed the situation during the show, telling the crowd, "If you notice, one of our brothers is not onstage with us, he was very sick before show." He then led the crowd through a chant of "Get well, Joe," and would send out a message on Twitter following the show.

A Facebook post from the band further confirmed that Perry is "stable and resting," while a representative noted to Rolling Stone that the Vampire and founding Aerosmith axeman is "doing well and resting and appreciates all your good wishes." It's unclear at present when Perry will see release.
