If you're bummed that there will probably never be another Postal Service album, you're not alone. The good news, however, is that Jimmy Tamborello, the half of the project that doesn't sing, will be reissuing some rarities and B-sides from his pre- and post-Postal Service DNTEL project.
Due April 14 via Pfthalo Records, the three-disc set known as Early Works for Me if it Works for You II compiles DNTEL's first two albums, Something Always Goes Wrong and Early Works for Me if it Works for You, as well as a third disc of unreleased tracks from the sessions of his breakthrough album, Life Is Full of Possibilities.
In a statement, Tamborello explained his reasoning for the reissues, stating, "A couple years ago I decided to listen to a bunch of old DATs of stuff I had worked on in the process of making LIFOP. Although a lot of it was rough or unfinished, it got me thinking of the old days and I decided to collect my favorites."
