My Morning Jacket vocalist Jim James has been gearing up for the release of his new solo LP Eternally Even next month with single "Same Old Lie." Now, the song has got the video treatment.
The kaleidoscopic track features some equally fitting visuals, with shots of James constantly shifting through different filters and lights. In addition to the video launch, "Same Old Lie" is today's entry in the 30 Days, 30 Songs campaign, bringing together artists against Donald Trump. James had this to say about the Republican presidential nominee in an accompanying statement:
The fact that the United States is even remotely considering the idea of a Donald Trump presidency is so very, very disturbing. How has this bully who capitalizes on the destruction of humanity somehow been given a free pass!? We need to be working for peace, love, and equality.
