The Jesus and Mary Chain Announce More North American Dates, Add Toronto Show

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Apr 25, 2012

It's still up in the air whether or not the Jesus and Mary Chain are making a new album, but at least the Scottish noise pop heroes will be hitting up North America again this year for a handful of concert dates.

Following the group's first-ever appearance in China this May, the act will head out to our continent to play some shows. More tour dates are expected to come in the near future, but for now we know that the band will play at least six concerts in North America.

Four of those take place in the western United States this June (covering California and Nevada), but the band will also head out to Toronto in August. According to Last.fm, JAMC will hit up the Phoenix Theatre on August 3. You can check the rest of the details down below.

While the Jesus and Mary Chain haven't issued an LP since 1998's Munki, they delivered a series of deluxe CD/DVD reissues in 2011, and dropped a vinyl repress of 1994's Stoned & Dethroned in March.

Tour dates:

5/19 Beijing, China - CMV Festival

6/14 San Francisco, CA - The Fillmore

6/15 Los Angeles, CA - Hollywood Park

6/16 Las Vegas, NV - House Of Blues

6/17 San Diego, CA - House Of Blues

8/3 Toronto, ON - Phoenix Theatre
9/6 Raleigh, NC - Hopscotch Music Festival
