Though UK pop singer Jessie J's next LP isn't expected to arrive until later this fall, the artist has fired off the first single, a team-up with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj titled "Bang Bang."
The sonic landscape of steady claps, soulful breaks and a jittery military snare beat was whipped up by Max Martin, Savan Kotecha and Ilya, who had recently delivered the beat to Grande's "Problem." J starts off by ragging on the "hourglass body" of a rival, professing that she could give a lover what they need 24/7. Grande gets a few glimmering lines in as well before Minaj busts into a winning set of bars about taking a ride on the little engine that could.
J's new album has yet to be detailed in full, but it will feature "Bang Bang." The track will also pop up on the deluxe version of Grande's My Everything, due August 25 through Republic.
