What Happened to the ?

The debut record from these swingin’ Swedes follows in the line of great retro-rock records to come from the home of Abba. Employing every psychedelic rock production trick imaginable, the band’s sound takes the best elements from all the great ’60s psych-rockers and combines them into a clap-happy collection of colourful rock and roll tunes. Jan Henning Sorensen does a great job of imitating the wannabe jazz drummers of the ’60s and vocalist/guitarist Thomas Innster has great character in his voice but it’s Ivar Johansen’s swirling organ that gives the band its edge. Occasionally the lifted ideas are a little obvious but you’ll be too busy dancing along to care.
