Jeremy Dutcher has revealed plans for an upcoming Canadian tour that will see him pairing up with orchestras across the country.
Following a string of summer shows, Dutcher will embark on the fall tour starting in Kitchener on September 27 and 28.
He'll be accompanied by orchestras for those shows, as well as stops in Winnipeg, Halifax, Regina, Calgary and Saskatoon. However, he'll also perform non-orchestra in St. Catharines, Vancouver, Victoria, and Edmonds, WA.
The symphony shows feature songs from Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa, which won the 2018 Polaris Music Prize, specially arranged by Lucas Waldin. The performance premiered with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra at the Carlu earlier this year.
"This orchestra tour means so much to me," Dutcher said in a statement. "It sews together two musical halves of myself. A tour like this would not have been possible just one generation ago, and I am honoured to bring our sounds into the concert hall and give them the treatment their beauty commands."
