Jeremiah Jae

'Good Times' (mixtape)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Apr 25, 2014

It's a Good Friday of sorts for hip-hop fans, as Chicago rapper Jeremiah Jae has just served up a new set of free treats as Good Times. The Warp Records signee's latest mixtape went live earlier this morning (April 24) and is available to download now.

The 15-song project is partially themed around the '70s sitcom Good Times, threading the occasional snippet from the show into the sonic landscape. Elsewhere, Jae raps about street violence on "Survival," summer vibes on "The Heat" and riffs over jazzy piano runs about his godly co-pilot on "Mountain Rise."

Helping him out on the mic throughout the tape are his Black Jungle Squad pals Oliver the 2nd, Tre and Isreal, with production duties handled by Jae, Jonwayne, Knxwledge and Lord Raja.
