Jenny Lewis and Johnathan Rice Introduce Jenny and Johnny

BY Josiah HughesPublished May 26, 2010

In the two years since Jenny Lewis released her second solo album, Acid Tongue, the former child actress and current alt-country queen has released little by way of new material. Fortunately, she's been hard at work on songs for an upcoming album, and she's decided to share the work load with her longtime collaborator and boyfriend Johnathan Rice.

Billed as Jenny and Johnny, the pair haven't dropped much information on the collaborative effort, but our sleuthing friends at TwentyFourBit have pointed out that they have launched a website for their material. The page only features a mailing list sign up form for now, but it's still worth a look here.

Earlier this year, Rilo Kiley's Jason Boesel announced the project to Paste, telling them that Lewis would be "working on a record with her boyfriend." To make it even more real, Jenny and Johnny have three shows booked for the middle of September.

The debut album from Jenny and Johnny is expected this summer. Stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
