It's been a few years since we heard a new album from Toronto-based songwriter Jennifer Castle, but that will change later this summer. Her latest LP is called Pink City, and it will be out on September 2 through Idée Fixe Records.
Details about the collection are scant at the moment, but for a taste of what's in store, listen to the track "Nature" below. It's a hushed piano ballad that plays out atop the steady rustle of ambient background noise. Some vocal harmonies and electric guitar enter as the minimal arrangement progresses.
