Canadian singer-songwriter Jenn Grant has returned with a new single called "The Party."
The song follows Grant's recent 2019 album Love, Inevitable and was written with Mary Bragg while on a writing trip in Nashville back in the fall.
The new track is an antidote to the cheerful, obnoxious Christmas music we are often subjected to, opting instead to serve as comfort for those who are often let down by holiday expectations.
"'The Party' is a story about a woman, filled with anticipation in those moments while getting ready for the party, which sometimes feels like the best part," Grant said in a statement. "It's about the evening to come, of dancing and love and loneliness and gathering. And something that resonates with this time of year, under all the sparkling lights."
