Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine Announce Canada/U.S. Tour, Unveil New Single and LP Plans
Legendary former Dead Kennedys vocalist Jello Biafra has been playing out with his new outfit the Guantanamo School of Medicine for the last few years, and the band will hit the road once again this fall to tease their upcoming LP, White People and the Damage Done.

The act will hit the road in late August, with the tour kickoff taking place in Chicago on the August 24. Half of the eight-show trip will take place in Canada, with shows scheduled in Hamilton, Toronto, Quebec City and Montreal. You can peep all the details down below.

While a release date has yet to be set for White People and the Damage Done, which follows last year's Enhanced Methods of Questioning EP, Biafra and his crew are offering up a taste of what's to come via the SHOCK-YOU-PY! single. You can listen to two versions of "SHOCK-YOU-PY," one being a sing-along and the other being dubbed the "Rock-A-Long" mix, down below.

The songs are available on Bandcamp now, but will be pressed as a physical edition sometime in the future. A third mix of "SHOCK-YOU-PY!" will feature on White People and the Damage Done, which Biafra hints could come out sometime between November and January on his Alternative Tentacles imprint.

"'SHOCK-YOU-PY!' is my own tribute about the Occupy movement. It's called 'SHOCK-YOU-PY!' because I come from the side of resistance that has a soft spot in my heart for pranks and creative sabotage of the non-violent variety," Biafra said in a statement. "Not everyone involved will totally agree with that, but I like when protests incorporate theatre. I realize not all resistance is going to be fun and games, but it should be (whenever possible) uplifting and a celebration of the fact that we are raising awareness and fighting against runaway dictatorship, looting by large corporations, and people who have so much money they can't figure out what to do with it all (which is Occupy's main goal.)"
