Jehnny Beth & Julian Casablancas

"Boy/Girl" (Sort Sol & Lydia Lunch cover) (video)

The lead vocalists of Savages and the Strokes have teamed up for a cover of "Boy/Girl," and they've unveiled an accompanying video.

The track was originally recorded by Danish punks Sort Sol and Lydia Lunch back in 1984, but it's been given an update courtesy of Savages' Jehnny Beth and the Strokes' Julian Casablancas.

While the dynamic duo inject the song with their own unique charisma, the video takes its cues from the original and finds Beth and Casablancas mimicking the terrible quality green screen work of the '80s. The footage takes the pair around the world, from the pyramids to Rockefeller Center.

A 7-inch single featuring the collaboration will arrive on December 18 via Cult Records. Watch the clip for "Boy/Girl" in the player below.
