Garage pop sibling duo JEFF the Brotherhood had a big year in 2011, and their accomplishments included releasing a new album, dropping a Jack White-produced single and inking a deal with Warner. Now, they're poised to have an impressive 2012, too, since they just announced a North American tour, plus a Record Store Day EP.
The tour will last for more than a month from mid-May through June. The bulk of the dates are in the U.S., but there are also two Canadian gigs: Montreal on June 22 and Toronto the next day. Check out the schedule below.
As for the RSD EP, it's called Upstairs at United, Vol. 3 and it will be released by 453 Music. Recorded live to tape at United Record Pressing in Nashville, it was cut in a single take. According to a press release, the duo are joined by William Tyler on guitar, Loney Hutchins on keys and "crazy space sounds," and Joey Plunket on bass.
Scroll past the tour dates to see the tracklist. It doesn't look as if this will be available in Canada, but some of the 2,000 copies are bound to pop up on eBay. Like all Record Store Day releases, it will be out on April 21.
