Published Aug 26, 2013Despite the positive vibes of a Rocawear T-shirt proclaiming "Hood Love," Jay-Z's clothing line is under fire from a similarly named business, which has filed a lawsuit over trademark infringement.
TMZ reports that HoodLove, LLC, a for-profit company that seeks "positive legal remedies to all the problems affecting the hood," has held onto the trademark since 2006, and object to one specific Rocawear shirt that bears the words "Hood Love" across its chest (see above).
HoodLove is claiming that the shirt is causing confusion, and that Rocawear is cashing in on its name. The company is suing for profits made off the shirt, but it's unclear at present how much that will total. HoodLove is also asking to have the clothing item removed from stores.
