Jay Z's 'Made in America' to Receive Theatrical Release in 2014

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 11, 2013

You may have already seen Ron Howard's documentary Made in America — which focuses on Jay Z's Philadelphia music festival of the same name — since it premiered at TIFF and aired on Showtime, as well as emerged online. But if you were hoping to see it on the big screen, you'll soon get your chance, since it's slated to come to theatres in 2014.

This news comes via Billboard, which reports that Phase 4 Films has purchased the North American rights for the flick. A theatrical release is planned for next summer.

The exact details have yet to be confirmed, so we don't yet know exactly when, where, and for how long it will be screened. Canada is definitely part of the deal, since the rights for our country were handled by film sales company the Exchange.

Made in America features Jay Z, Pearl Jam, Odd Future, Dirty Projectors, Skrillex, Santigold, Janelle Monáe, Run-DMC and others. Watch the film below.
