Jay Z

"Holy Grail" (ft. Justin Timberlake) (video)

Our one suggestion to Jay Z after peeping his new video for Magna Carta Holy Grail opener "Holy Grail"? Don't hang your paintings in the pool, guy. Even if the rapper keeps his indoor swimmin' hole filled with but an inch or two of water, the humidity is bound to warp that canvas somehow. Careless, Jigga. Just careless.

Anthony Mandler's video clip finds Jay Z stewing inside an ill-lit mansion, contemplating life at the top. He's surrounded by big screens, busts, champagne-glass monuments and an underused butler, but looks pretty forlorn about fame and fortune.

Rearranging the song's original set-up, best bud Justin Timberlake's intro gets bounced to later in the song, where he stares grimly at an overturned and torched automobile. Portions of the track get the chopped not slopped treatment, so get prepared for JT's slow-mo slurring on the hook.

Plenty of cups are overflowing by the end of the video, and you can see the smashing results down below.
