JAY-Z Channels His Childhood in New Poem "Dream. On."

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Aug 30, 2017

JAY-Z recently dropped his latest album 4:44, but he's just shared some additional new material in the form of a poem dubbed "Dream. On."

The spoken word piece harkens back to the rapper's humble beginnings in apartment 5C in Brooklyn's Marcy Houses projects — a place he describes as "where dreaming ain't allowed."

It arrives with an accompanying video clip, that takes us inside the aforementioned apartment. Take a trip through JAY-Z's childhood home in the player down below.

Since releasing 4:44, Jay has also unveiled videos for album cuts like "Kill Jay Z," "The Story of O.J.," "Moonlight," "Adnis" and "MaNyfaCedGod."
