Published Nov 11, 2011The Occupy Wall Street movement and all of its sister-city protests continue worldwide, with the 99 percent crying foul at big business, but now Jay-Z is looking to make a profit off the whole thing. The rapper's Rocawear clothing line has just designed a topical T-shirt that seemingly supports the movement, but it's possible Jigga will take all the Occupy-related cash to the bank -- probably a Wells Fargo.
As Business Insider reports [via the Hollywood Reporter], Jay-Z has been sporting an OWS-themed shirt that reads "Occupy All Streets," and Rocawear is marketing the item. While some may hope that the hip-hop icon uses the shirt to raise funds for the working class, Rocawear hasn't solidified its plan on the matter.
"'Occupy All Streets' is our way of reminding people that there is change to be made everywhere, not just on Wall Street," a Rocawear spokesperson told Business Insider. "At this time we have not made an official commitment to monetarily support the movement."
Whether or not he shares the proceeds is still up for debate, but it's quite possible the shirt could help him nab the top spot on the Forbes Hip-Hop Cash King list yet again.
UPDATE: Due to the controversy surrounding the "Occupy All Streets" T-shirt, Rocawear has now quit selling the item.
In other news, still no word on how exactly Kanye West feels about OWS, but he and Jigga might just sport the slogan when they hit your town on the "Watch the Throne" tour.
