Vancouver rock eclectics Japanese Girls released The Sharkweek EP through Light Organ Records earlier this year, and now they're preparing to put it out on vinyl. The group — who sometimes go by JPNSGRLS — will issue the EP on wax via Light Organ on February 11, and they've shared a video for the track "Friday the 13th."
Directed by David Tenniswood, it's a spoof of the '90s arts-and-crafts show for kids Art Attack. We see the band play the melodic pop-rock tune in a garage while being repeatedly disturbed by a keener who keeps bursting in to borrow supplies for his backyard art project. The project takes a comedically sinister twist in the final moments.
