Japanese Breakfast fans hoping to catch Michelle Zauner and her band at Toronto's History tonight will have to make backup plans, as the show has been postponed due to COVID.

"Absolutely devastated that we've had COVID cases in our party and have to reschedule tonight's show," the band wrote in an announcement shared by Collective Concerts. The promoter notes that all original tickets will be honoured on the new date, September 26. So far, no word on whether supporting act Barrie will also make it to the new date.

Tomorrow's (July 20) performance at Montreal's Corona Theatre has also been affected, and the venue's website indicates that the show has been cancelled, rather than postponed.

Japanese Breakfast's tour website shows that the band plan to resume the tour at Newport Folk Festival on July 22, which also puts July 21's Portland, ME, show on the chopping block. A performance in Honolulu, HI, on July 26 has also been cancelled.
