Janet Jackson's "Unbreakable World Tour" hasn't proven to be quite so, uh, unbreakable. The second leg of the tour was previously postponed so that the singer could undergo vocal cord surgery with a string of European dates getting rescheduled into the coming months.
Now, it seems as if the tour will be grinding to a halt once again, according to a new video post from Miss Jackson. In the clip, she explains that she and her husband are "planning our family." As a result, upcoming shows have been cancelled so that she can heed doctor's orders and "rest up."
"Please, if you can try and understand that it's important that I do this now," she says in the clip. From there, Jackson thanks fans and her touring crew for their support so far and assures fans that she has "not forgotten about you" and hopes to continue the tour as soon "as soon as I possibly can." The 49-year-old singer married her husband Wissam Al Mana in 2012.
Live Nation has yet to issue an official statement on upcoming changes to the North American tour schedule. Jackson previously rescheduled shows in Montreal and London, ON, for June 16 and 17, respectively.
The shows from May 14 onwards are still listed on Jackson's official site, though a string of European dates throughout the month of April no longer appear.
