Jane's Addiction, Weezer and Social Distortion to Play Calgary's X-Fest
While Calgary's upcoming Sled Island Festival focuses on some of our favourite artists in recent years, another new festival in town will be living it up like it's the mid-'90s. Calgary alternative radio station X92.9 will be throwing the inaugural X-Fest on August 20, and the lineup would have mostly worked in 1995, too.

Headlining the festival will be Jane's Addiction (pictured) and Weezer, who will be joined by Social Distortion and House of Pain. It's not all a '90s alterna-rock throwbacks though, as Exclaim! favourites the Rural Alberta Advantage will take the stage, as well as Calgary artist Michael Bernard Fitzgerald.

Tickets for the event, which will be held at Fort Calgary, will be available on Friday (May 13) for $79.29 over here. There will also be a VIP pass for $129.29.
