Published Aug 17, 2011From Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne, to the possible Death Cab for Cutie/Flaming Lips collaboration, it seems as if partnering up is all the rage these days. Two more celebrated artists potentially hopping on the bandwagon are post-dubstep soul man James Blake and forward-thinking folkster Bon Iver, if we can believe the former's Twitter feed.
There's not too much to go on at this point, but a tweet from Blake earlier this morning (August 17) suggests that the two indie heavyweights are about to get together next week to work on something.
"24th August 2011 - James Blake & Bon Iver 'Fall Creek Boys Choir,'" Blake posted.
True, that's scarcely any info, but Pitchfork points to Fall Creek being the name of the town where Bon Iver main man Justin Vernon owns a recording studio. While purely speculative, this suggests the pair could be whipping up some new tunes. Fingers crossed, everybody.
