Jackson 5 Reunion Show in the Works for 2008

Not to be outdone by My Bloody Valentine's reformation, the Jackson 5 are reportedly in talks to reunite. Unsurprisingly, it appears that Michael Jackson is the only thing that stands in the way of a full-on reunion show.

According to Access Atlanta, concert promoter Leonard Rowe – the man who promoted Jackson's Off The Wall tour the late '70s and early '80s – says that he met with the infamous Jackson family in Las Vegas last April to discuss the possibility of performing a series of live dates.

Rowe says Jackie, Tito (!), Jermaine and Marlon have already confirmed their involvement (shocker) – the Gloved One is the only family member yet to give a firm yes. The Jackson’s youngest sister Janet is also said to be involved in the reunion.

"His brothers are ready. Janet is ready. But the motor of that car that makes the car run isn't just yet. We wanted to go this year, but [Michael] said it would take a lot of preparation. He didn't say no."

The Jackson 5 disbanded in 1990 and their last studio album was 1989's 2300 Jackson Street. They last appeared performing together for the CBS' television event Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Special in November 2001.
