Jack White Sprains Ankle but Continues Touring Anyway

Despite a nasty ankle injury, Jack White won't take it easy on tour. The Third Man Records rocker sprained his ankle on stage in San Francisco over the weekend, but insisted that the show must go on.

Before Saturday (August 23) evening's second San Fran set, the Third Man Records' Instagram posted a photo of White's black and blue foot with the caption: "The camp is pressuring Jack to postpone the rest of the tour but Jack wants the show to go on tonight."

You can see the damage in the picture above, but in spite of the gnarly bruising, the show went off as planned and no announcements have been made about changes to White's current tour. That's good news for Canadian fans hoping to catch White at his dates in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton later this week.
