Jack White Reveals Plan to Reissue Entire White Stripes Catalogue

Currently running the coolest record store/label/press machine around, White Stripes front-man Jack White keeps sweetening the deal with his Third Man Records imprint. As we told you Monday (July 6), White has recently launched an online subscription service offering exclusive content of all kinds. But guess what, dear vinyl lovers, White has even more good stuff for you.

In a recent interview with the Edmonton Sun [via TwentyFourBit], White revealed that he intends to reissue the entire White Stripes discography on vinyl, beginning with the band's early, very rare singles.

"I'm re-releasing every record I've ever been a part of," he said. "So I'm collecting all the old ones and getting them back on our shelf. If there's [a] kid in Nunavut who wants that 45, I want him to be able to get it if he wants it. I don't like out-of-print records. I don't think that's fair."

There's no word on exactly when we'll get the repressings but we're guessing a whole lot of people are hoping they come soon. Well, maybe not greedy eBayer sellers.
