Jack White

"Parallel" (Dean Fertita cover)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Nov 25, 2014

Jack White is known for his inventiveness when it comes to new ways of playing with vinyl, but for the release of his latest single "Would You Fight for My Love?" he took on his Raconteurs/Dead Weather bandmate Dean Fertita's old material.

As previously reported, the B-side "Parallel" was originally written and performed by Dean Fertita's project Hello=Fire on their 2009 self-titled release.

White takes the tune and injects it with some bluegrass flavour. It grows into a full-band extravaganza, featuring keys by the late Isaiah "Ikey" Owens. The single is out now via Third Man Records and the B-side is now available to stream digitally. You can do just that in the player below.
