Published Dec 11, 2014This week, rapper J. Cole dropped his new 2014 Forest Hills Drive album. Rather than perform a track from the release, however, he used his recent Late Show with David Letterman appearance to perform his stand-alone single "Be Free."
The song, which was written as a direct response to the situation in Ferguson, MO, and death of Mike Brown, was treated to a powerful and somber performance as Cole delivered the sincere, heartfelt track. He also expanded the track with some new verses.
