The iOs

BY Michael EdwardsPublished Aug 1, 2003

The iOs have been picking around the New York music scene since 1999, but must have got lost in the wealth of other bands from that city who’ve ended up progressing through the music industry at a faster pace. The iOs, on the other hand, are still without a label and burning copies of their debut CD, vying for more attention. And it shouldn’t be that hard to convince people that they deserve some because their new wave-influenced songs are not that bad at all. The vocal interplay between Chris Punsalan and Autumn Proemm dominates most of the songs, in a way that isn’t unlike Versus or Imperial Teen. A three-track EP might not be the most gratifying way to discover a band, but at least by the time that this one is over, you are left wanting more. Definitely not a bad thing.
