Insision

Revealed and Worshipped

BY Greg PrattPublished Sep 1, 2004

Although Sweden’s Insision are offering up nothing new on their second Earache offering, they travel the tried and true with tons of talent, serving up 11 new slabs of Euro-styled death metal. No melody or memorable riffs allowed. In fact, nothing except for horse-blinder, mid-paced-to-speedy death metal of the highest order is permitted. What puts it over the top is the sturdy playing by all involved (nothing amazing, but everyone’s totally skilled) and the perfect production by Mieszko Talarczyk (Nasum), which brings out all the instruments nicely. By album number three, this could start getting a bit old, but for now the rot smells just fine.
