Published Jun 27, 2013On June 15, Paper Bag Records hosted the first Canadian Independent Label Market. The event, originated in the UK by Joe Daniel of Angular Records, was designed to bring independent record labels together to meet the public, and its Canadian debut was nothing short of a success.
We had the chance to interview several label personnel and learned some interesting information. Watch Daniel talk about his intention for the event, Pierre from Kelp Records discuss the first ever Fisher Price single, Broken Social Scene/Arts & Crafts co-founder Kevin Drew reveal a heretofore-untold and undocumented encounter with Mötley Crüe, and more.
