Published Dec 20, 2013Hamilton outfit Illitry describe their sound as "electro-organic," and they've showcased this style with a unique cover of the seasonal classic "Oh Come, Oh Come, Emmanuel."
During this rehearsal room rendition, the band cue up electronic textures from a sampler and overlay them with live rock band instrumentation. This turns the traditional tune into a synth-inflected indie rock number that still preserves the melodies of the original.
Adding to the Christmas atmosphere, the space is decorated with candled and strings of lights. Check out the clip below.
