Japanese duo IKEBANA's upcoming album, when you arrive there, includes an exceptionally dreamy soundscape called "Rose." Now, that track has got the remix treatment courtesy of Yo La Tengo member James McNew.
While the original version of the song drifted along with billowing swaths of reverb and soft guitar strums, this one is aptly tagged "Anxiety Remix." It preserves the sweet vocal coos, but adds a thick, goopy layer of jagged shoegaze fuzz and a minimal, clip-clop rhythm.
