Iggy and the Stooges Give Vinyl Release to 2010 ATP Set, Unveil New Bootleg Box Set

When Iggy and the Stooges reunited for a performance of their seminal Raw Power album at last year's All Tomorrow's Parties in New York, it was a major event. Not only was it the first time that lineup had performed together in years (with punk legend Mike Watt filling in for fallen bassist Ron Asheton), but it was also documented by fans for a film contest called Raw Power Live: In the Hands of the Fans.

The concert film has not been released yet, and no DVD announcements have been made since we revealed the project last summer. Over at the official site for In the Hands of the Fans, however, the six winning clips are available to be streamed via YouTube. All six are available here, with the first one embedded below.

In addition to that, MVD Entertainment have opted to release a vinyl record of the performance on 180-gram vinyl. The album includes the band's entire 35-minute set and will be released on April 5. A pre-order for the record is available here.

Speaking about the release in a statement, Iggy Pop said, "Getting this top-notch performance of the entire Raw Power album by the Stooges realized a life-long dream. This shit really sizzles and we are so obviously a crack band in a class of our own."

And if all this wasn't enough Stooges for you, Shout! Factory will be releasing a new box set called Roadkill Rising: The Bootleg Collection 1977-2009. The four-CD set features newly remastered bootlegs of shows from the '70s, '80s, '90s and 2000s. It's due out on May 17, and if you pre-order it here, you will get the bonus disc featuring a show recording on November 27, 1979, in San Francisco. You can also peep the massive tracklisting here.
