Never one to slow down for long, rock'n'roll hero Iggy Pop is once again back with a new musical offering. Amazingly, this song is called "Asshole Blues," and you wallow in it now.
Featuring just Pop and an acoustic guitar, the track will no doubt speak to many of you out there, with the Stooges leader asking, "Asshole, when are you gonna die?"
"I wrote a blues song about an asshole who's out to get me," Pop told Rolling Stone. "It's full of negative energy. Listen at you own risk. It's fun to play the blues."
The song comes as part of Jacuzzi Boys' flexi-disc series, and you can pre-order it here. The single is expected to ship out on April 19.
For now, though, hear Pop sing the "Asshole Blues" below.
Pop will also be reissuing his first three solo albums — The Idiot, Lust for Life and TV Eye Live — on coloured vinyl; you can pick them up here.
