I.C.U.

Mad Truth

BY Rob FerrazPublished Dec 1, 1999

I.C.U explore the dark side of things both musically and lyrically on their third album. Featuring the doomsday cover art of Marvel comic’s Miran Kim, and the noisy production of Wharton Tiers, these 13 songs glow with a evil intensity. The vocal style of “Pee Wee” Masco is reminiscent of Kim Gordon and the music is a blend of the Avengers, Sonic Youth and some hints of Bleach-era Nirvana. This is good to listen to when you feel like brooding all alone.
