Icona Pop

"Brightside"

BY Calum SlingerlandPublished Oct 21, 2016

Not far removed from their collaborative track "Weekend" alongside Louis the Child, Swedish duo Icona Pop have returned with a new tune of their own in "Brightside."

Delivered today through Record Company TEN/Big Beat/Atlantic Records, the punchy, mid-tempo tune delivers on its promise to feature "breezy production, carefree vocals, and an irresistible chorus that you'll be singing in your head until next summer." The track was produced by Jarrad Rodgers (a.k.a. MSTR Rogers) and Freddy Kennett (of Louis the Child).

While details of a follow-up to their 2013 LP This Is...Icona Pop have yet to be revealed, the duo have most recently made contributions of the Justin Timberlake-helmed soundtrack of Dreamworks Animation's Trolls, due out November 4.
