Ice Cube Slates 'Everythang's Corrupt' Album for May Release

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jan 3, 2014

These days, Ice Cube tends to be better known for his film work than his music, but the actor will be returning his focus to rapping in 2014 by releasing a new solo album.

This morning (January 3), Ice Cube took to Twitter and revealed, "EVERYTHANGS CORRUPT street date: May 13, 2014."

The album shares its name with a single that Ice Cube released on iTunes in January 2013 featuring Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello. Ice Cube subsequently dropped the single "Crowded." Hear those tunes below.

The former N.W.A. rhymer has been talking about this album for some time, and he previously promised that it would be out in the fall. Now that the record has a firm release date, however, we're keeping our fingers crossed that there won't be any more delays.

Reports have indicated that the album will arrive through Ice Cube's own Lench Mob Records. He's released his last few albums through the label.

Ice Cube's previous full-length, I Am West, came out back in 2010.
